This is just a little collection of things that are of interest to me, my family, and friends. They will expanded as time and temperment allow.

We have been doing a little gathering of information on our families over the years. We will start to document and research them as time allows. This is the information as it is presented to us. We make no claims for the accuracy of any of this, except our children (we were there for the birth). There is information on the our part of the Bowlan, Cheshier, Douglas and Malcomson families.

We will attempt to put down the family history that is publishable. It will be highly edited to protect the innocent (and not so innocent). We do not want to give our children any more ammunition than they have already. We would welcome any and all additional information we can gather. We will try and post histories and remembrances of family and friends.

We have had some outstanding cooks in the family. We have had a couple of bad cooks, also. We will post the recipes of the good cooks and ignore the bad cooks. We have a tendency to lean toward the 'fry the food and then dump gravy on it' school of cooking. So if you see anything healthy here, that is purely an oversight.

We have some strong feelings on writers and have a list of books a mile long that we want to read. Here is a list of our favorite authors and books with comments. If you have some to add to the list, please do.

We have had a fascination with ferry boats for a number of years. In fact, we tried to buy a couple of them and turn them into a live-aboard. Luckily reality set in and it didn't work out. But who knows what the future will bring. This is a long awaited attempt to put that fascination down on paper (or at least down on the Internet) and share it with others. This will get built as I find time and enthusiasm. So don't hold your breath on seeing a lot of it anytime soon.
